The iPhone and Apple Watch Series 2 are scheduled to go up for pre-order later this evening and ahead of that, the Apple Online Store has gone down. Apple generally always takes down its online store before events and product launches in order to build suspense.
Like normal, Apple’s website teases that the company has “something special” in store for customers:
We’ve got something special in store for you. And we can’t wait for you to see it. Please check back soon.
The Apple Watch Series 2 and iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are slated to go up for pre-order at 12:01AM PT/3:01AM ET. While preorders begin today, the new iPhones and Apple Watch models will be officially available on Friday, September 16th online and in Apple retail locations.
