The Un-carrier announced today that it will be offering unlimited talk (to the U.S.), text, and 4G LTE data for this year’s Winter Olympics in South Korea. Best of all? It’s free.
Starting on February 7 through March 20, T-Mobile customers will enjoy unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data in South Korea, whether you’re viewing the Winter Olympics or simply traveling.
T-Mobile CEO John Legere says:
The Winter Games are full of unforgettable moments, and now, T-Mobile customers in South Korea can snap, tweet and share those big moments without worrying about bill shock when they get back home. And while the carriers gouge you and make you jump through ridiculous hoops, the Un-carrier makes it easy! Free and unlimited data and calling just HAPPEN from the moment you step foot in South Korea.
In addition to this, T-Mobile already offers free unlimited texting and 2G data in more than 140 countries worldwide. The carrier cites that others such as Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T require you to pay money up front to use your phone outside of North America, and that it is a hassle to do so. It touts that on T-Mobile, it’s just a seamless experience.
