TikTok already lets users add a song to their Spotify library without leaving the app, and both platforms are now introducing another quite convenient feature: the ability to easily share Spotify songs on TikTok.
Spotify and TikTok get even deeper integration
The new feature, which is now being rolled out to users, brings deeper integration between TikTok and Spotify. Essentially, Spotify users can now share a song on their TikTok account with just a button. The song can be posted in the feed, stories, or even sent via DM to someone.
The feature works pretty much in the same way as the integration between Apple Music and TikTok that was added with iOS 18.1, which also lets users share Apple Music songs on the social network more quickly.
If you choose to share the song as a video or photo, TikTok will automatically link the song to your post, so that others will hear a snippet of it when they see your post. When it comes to the video option, TikTok lets you record a video of yourself with the song playing in the background.
“This new feature compliments our existing partnership with TikTok, allowing users to easily save songs directly to Spotify from TikTok with just a simple tap and we’re excited to now bring this feature to users across the globe on iOS and Android,” TikTok told the press.
Both Spotify and TikTok are available for free on the App Store. Make sure you have the latest version of the apps installed on your device in order to get access to the new features.
