Second Release Candidates for macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8 now available

Apple is rolling out second release candidates for macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8, one week after the first RC for macOS 26.7 revealed several details about upcoming products.

macOS 26.7 and macOS 15.8 RC 2 now available

Developers can now install macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8 RC 2, which come just days after the first macOS 26.7 release candidate leaked details about several upcoming products, including a video and several technical details about AirPods with cameras.

Today’s releases also came alongside macOS 27 Golden Gate developer beta 7, and public betas are likely to follow soon.

Ironically, despite last week’s leaks, macOS 26.7 is shaping up to be a rather uneventful release, as Apple closes out the main development process for macOS 26 ahead of the release of macOS 27 Golden Gate in a few weeks. macOS Sequoia 15.8, meanwhile, is likely to include important security fixes, some of which will likely be included in macOS Tahoe 26.7.

That said, we are looking into the new code and will report back if we find anything noteworthy. The build for macOS 26.7 RC 2 is 25G224, and the build for macOS 15.8 is 24H20.
