iOS 27.2 beta 4 no longer includes Apple’s overhauled Health app

An overhauled Apple Health app is coming, but it looks like iOS 27.2 won’t include it.

Apple first announced the upgraded Health app in September. The company still says to expect it to launch later this year.

iOS 27.2 developer beta 1 was the first iPhone software update to include the new Health app.

Apple added it to iOS 27.2 public beta 1 and public beta 2 as well. It features new data points like health age while adding the ability to schedule lab work through Quest Diagnostics.

However, it appears Apple plans to take a bit more time to get the new Health app ready for release.

Today’s iOS 27.2 developer beta 4 release no longer includes the new Health app. Instead, the prior version is restored. The longevity section is replaced with the previous sharing section.

iOS 27.2 beta 4 notes that Health data added during the beta testing period will be retained and viewing in the Settings app. It also adds that the release is still planned for this year.

This likely means that we’ll see iOS 27.3 beta in late October or early November with the Health app upgrade included.
