Deals: AirPods, Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 up to $325 off, M5 MacBook Air $200 off, more

Alongside the ongoing pre-order deals on the new M6 Mac mini, today we are highlighting pre-orders on the new AirPods 5 (just keep in mind you can still land AirPods Pro 3 for just $50 more). The new Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 are also now up for grabs (here’s some deals on how to land them at up to $325 off) and, if you’re quick, the most affordable M5 MacBook Air live at $1,099 via Apple refurb ($200 off new list). Head below for more.

AirPods 5 pre-orders now live, but flagship AirPods Pro 3 only $50 more right now

Apple has now unleashed its new AirPods 5 with pre-orders now live on the base set at $129 and the higher-end Wireless Charging Case model at $149. Thing is, you can score the flagship AirPods Pro 3 for just $50 more than that right now with the ongoing Amazon deal.

Here’s how pricing works out across the lineup now:

Apple has indeed injected active noise cancelation features in both of the new base model AirPods 5 releases. You will, however, need to bump up to the more pricey set to score the wireless charging case and the on-stem volume controls found on the AirPods Pro 3.

You will also won’t find the proper sealed fit with Apple’s best sound isolation experience on the new AirPods 5 – that’s what the AirPods Pro lineup is for.

And while it is particularly impressive to see Apple launch a set of new AirPods at just $129 with noise cancellation features – last year’s base set didn’t have it, you’re going to really want to save $50 to side step the flagship Pro 3 for the new AirPods 5 right now.

The AirPods Pro 3 feature longer battery life, up to 3x more active noise cancellation than AirPods 5, heart rate sensing, and more.

Amazon already starting to drop the price on Apple Watch Series 12 pre-orders

Pre-orders for the new AirPods 5 are now live from $129, and Amazon is already starting to undercut everyone on the Series 12. While we aren’t talking about massive deals here, Amazon is now offering select Series 12 models for less than everyone else.

As you can see with this 42mm Series 12 GPS + Cell configuration, Amazon has it listed down at $489.99 shipped

Yes that, is only $9 off, but if you are going to be pre-ordering this week ahead of the September 18 delivery date, you might as well keep some coffee money in your pocket.

And even if this isn’t the configuration you’re after, it would not be uncommon for Amazon to start dropping the MSRP a touch on several other models over the course of the day and into tomorrow (the rest of the week).

Again, this is not a huge deal – we get it, but every penny counts around here and we just wanted to make sure folks were in the know.

  • Apple Watch Series 12 42mm $399
  • Apple Watch Series 12 46mm $449
  • Apple Watch Series 12 42mm GPS + Cell $490 (Reg. $499)
  • Apple Watch Series 12 46mm GPS + Cell $549
  • Apple Watch Series 12 42mm Titanium $699

Most affordable M5 MacBook Air live at $1,099 via Apple refurb if you move quick ($200 off new list)

Just after today’s iPhone 18 Pro, AirPods 5, and Apple Watch Series 12 reveals, the official Apple refurb store has now once again re-stocked the most affordable 13-inch M5 MacBook Pro down at $1,099 shipped in Midnight, Starlight, and Sky Blue

This particularly configuration – the most affordable model you can buy – has been a hot commodity at a price like this over the last couple months and is not likely to remain in stock for very long:

The official Apple Certified Refurbished Store now has the base 13-inch M5 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage sitting down at $1,099 shipped. As mentioned above, it is, at the time of writing, available on the Midnight, Starlight, and Sky Blue colorways.

Regularly $1,299 these days, and either very close to that or sold out at Amazon, you can now land this model at $200 off straight from Apple.

And because it is coming straight from Apple, we are talking about the best refurbishment process there is with a proper warranty too:

  • Apple’s one-year limited warranty
  • Apple’s 14-day returns policy
  • AppleCare eligibility
  • Apple’s Rigorous refurbishment process prior to sale

We have already highlighted these deals in various posts as they went live, but we wanted to make sure they were all in one place and on the radar for folks still considering a pre-order ahead of this month’s delivery date:

Apple’s all-new AirPods 5 now available for pre-order from $129

While the AirPods Pro 3 remain the flagship model in the lineup (currently $50 off), Apple debuted the all-new AirPods 5 at its “Surprise and shine” event and pre-orders are now live on the base model and the higher-end Wireless Charging Case variant.

The new AirPods 5 come in two models again this year, except both models include active noise cancellation this time. The main differences here are largely price and a few key hardware features, like the on-stem volume slider and the wireless charging case on the slightly more pricey variant.

  • AirPods 5 $129
  • AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case $149

Some of the highlights include 50% more noise reduction by comparison to the previous-generation AirPods 4 with ANC. You’ll also find a next-gen Adaptive EQ, enhanced Spatial Audio, and up to 20 hours of battery with the case.

The higher-end model also lands with on-stem plume controls like AirPods Pro as well the longer battery life and the wireless charging case, as the name suggests.

All AirPods Max 2 colorways back in-stock at $100 off via Amazon

Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 are still down at holiday deal pricing and now Amazon has all five colors of the latest AirPods Max 2 back in stock at $100 off as well. Both of which not expected to get updated at today’s Apple reveal event, we are getting an extended chance at savings here on what will remain flagship gear until next year by the looks of it.

After seeing select colors bouncing in and out of stock, Amazon is once again offering all AirPods Max 2 models down at $449 shipped

Regularly $549, this is $100 off and the best deal we can find in brand new condition.

Today’s offer lands on par with the official Labor Day discount we featured and matches the lowest we have tracked outside of Prime Day and a short August offer thereafter.

Apple and Mr. Ternus are set to take the virtual stage today for the big September reveal event – stay locked to 9to5Mac. We should be getting the new iPhone 18 Pro models, Apple’s new foldable, the next-generation Apple Watch releases, and AirPods 5, but it still does not appear as though AirPods Pro 3 will see a next-gen reveal today (the AirPods Max 2 released earlier this year).
