Olloclip has updated its neat clip-on lens system we reviewed back in 2012, adding a second, more powerful macro lens and improving the optical quality of the others.
The olloclip 4-IN-1 is a quick-connect lens solution for the iPhone that includes Fisheye, Wide-Angle and 2 Macro lenses in one small, convenient package that easily fits in your pocket – and the palm of your hand. It connects to the iPhone within seconds so you’ll be sure to capture the image you want. If you don’t see the picture you’re looking for, just flip it over to switch lenses.
The original 10x macro lens has now been supplemented with a 15x lens. The lens is compatible with both iPhone 5 and 5s, and is available for pre-order at $69.99 with delivery expected early next month.

The additional macro lens doesn’t seem like much of a value enhancement to me, but maybe it will to others. I’d be more interested in the optical improvements the article alludes to but never describes. Does anyone have any more insight into how significant those optical improvements are?
I should have added that for a new buyer I suppose the ffour lens kit has more appeal than the previous three lens set. But for someone who already owns an olloclip (and loves it) I don’t see the appeal to upgrade to this new gear.
On the other hand, if they had added a circular polarizer filter, I’d be all over it. That would have given it much broader appeal, IMHO.
Agree it would be great to have, but the average consumer has never even heard of it, so likely not a mass-market product
Yep, it’s not going to justify an upgrade for most people, but adds to the appeal for those who don’t yet have one
I see the company is now selling a $99 combination 2x tele and circular polarizer kit. I do NOT see the four piece kit announced in this article on the company’s website, however. Maybe somebody can point me to it.
