In addition to releasing iOS 7.1.2 today for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, Apple has just released OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 for Macs (direct combo update download link). The update brings various bug fixes, improvements, and security enhancements to the Mac:
- Fixes an issue that prevented some Macs from automatically connecting to known Wi-Fi networks
- Fixes issue causing the background or Apple logo to appear incorrectly on startup
- Improves the reliability of waking from sleep
- Includes Safari 7.0.5
The build number is 13E28, which is newer than the last beta release for developers. The update is available via Software Update in the Mac App Store. This update comes ahead of OS X 10.10 Yosemite’s launch this fall.

No fixes for Mail? Really? Come on Apple! It’s simple IMAP setup and it worked fine prior to Mavericks! Face palm…
IMAP works fine. If you’re talking about google IMAP, go ask them.
No it doesn’t. I have to manually sync the IMAP mailboxes or quit and re-launch mail to get it to populate from IMAP. This is happening to a lot of people. There’s a huge thread on Apple support forums. It’s not just Gmail. Actually Gmail works better than my normal IMAP mail lately.
If I could only go back to Mountain Lion where everything worked. Maverricks is a bust.
Then wait for Yosemite…
The mail app will be fix with OS X Yosemite…..

Jeff, this update messed my monitor and or speed. The doc is all jittery on movement and mission control doesn’t know if it’s coming or going.
