Apple has announced that iAd is now available in nine additional countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and Sweden. This means iAd is now available in a total of twenty-five countries spanning North America, Europe and Asia.
Apple says that it continues to support iAd to help developers make more money. It’s not a stretch to say that the initiative has not met expectations and now primarily serves commercials for iTunes Radio. Developers using the program have anecdotally reported poor fill rates versus iAd’s competitors.
However, the addition of new countries shows that Apple has not abandoned the project. On a related note, ago, Apple released a new version of iAd Producer a few weeks ago.

OMG, I’m so excited!
Software costs money. Pay for it. Forget the ads.
i am so excitied!
Apple’s Ad revenues pale compared to Google and Facebook’s. Apple is missing a great opportunity to add another significant recurring income stream to their arsenal of income producing products. Advertising is a huge market capable of moving the EPS needle at Apple.
Damn I HATE ads. Give me a free trial and I’ll decide whether to pay for it or delete it.
They’re getting worse, too. How long before ads invade OS X with full screen takeovers?
I remember Steve saying: Paid apps/software stay add free… So I do have little hope they won’t.. Knoeing that OS X is “Free”
Yay! More advertizing power!
When will they put Portugal in the list??
