Agent 47 returns to iOS with the new Hitman Sniper game

From 9to5toys:

Following the release of the last main console entry in the long running Hitman franchise, Square Enix took the franchise mobile with the stellar, board-game style Hitman GO. Now Square is back with another iOS game starring Agent 47:

Unlike the console games and Hitman Go, you won’t be navigating various locations in order to take out your target quietly in the new Hitman: Sniper. This is a fixed shooter game, similar to the Sniper Challenge that was attached to Absolution. Essentially allowing for players to stealthily take down a number of targets using nothing but a sniper rifle.

It spans 150 missions set in Montenegro and will require players to get creative with the scope, using “skill, subtlety, subterfuge and the environment to complete” contracts. There is a progression system in place here as well. You can collect new parts for your weapon to assemble your perfect Sniper rifle, compete on the leaderboards, and there are a number of secret areas that can be uncovered as you make your way through the missions.

iOS Universal: Hitman: Sniper: $4.99 (just released)

This isn’t a new game. It was in the App Store in 2014, It got taken down, and now it’s back. Not new, just came back, just like The Sims 3

  2. Good to know – I thought the Hitman series was basically done at this point. Looking forward to trying this out!
