Lenovo breaks MacBooks in half for hidden camera prank promoting Yoga 3 laptop

Lenovo is behind this ad that doubles as hidden camera prank video in which the company attempts to scare mall shoppers into purchasing its new Lenovo Yoga 3 tabtop modelled by Ashton above. They do so by breaking MacBooks in half to demonstrate the Yoga 3 laptop’s ability to bend backwards and morph from laptop into a super unwieldy orange tablet.

The video was done by UCB Comedy, but paid for by Lenovo:

More laughs are available in the images of Ashton and the Yoga 3 on Lenovo’s website.

WOW, that is a TON of effort to demonstrate a gimmick, lol.

Yeah, I’m so sure every single non-bending laptop owner (as if a Macbook is the only one) is all like “awwww, my laptop can’t do that flippy over thingy!”
    :)

  2. That wasn’t even remotely funny. Not even interesting. What a waste of time.

    So they break stuff? OK.
How is it supposed to be entertaining, let alone funny. Makes ZERO sense.

I just looked at it again, the video has 1 second of mention about the yoga but they really do care about the macbook. Maybe a black guy accusing whites and asians of doing the damage is the joke? Someone from the “comedy” troupe would have to explain. But as an ad for the yoga, pathetic!

Wow. If this is what entertains people, than OK, hopefully not the people who are prospective Air buyers. I mean, common, making ads by braking some of the most beautifully designed personal computers in history. Thanks, not for me.
