Apple Business Essentials goes free as Apple merges enterprise tools into Apple Business

Today, Apple announced a massive shift in how it approaches the enterprise market. On April 14, Apple will merge all of its business and enterprise tools under a single, unified platform simply called Apple Business. The biggest news in this announcement is that the built-in mobile device management features (previously a paid subscription under Apple Business Essentials) will be completely free for organizations in over 200 countries.

Apple takes aim at Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 with new hosted business email

For over a decade, the enterprise email and calendar market has been a two-horse race between Microsoft and Google. iPhones and iPads make up three-quarters of mobile devices used in small & medium businesses

Apple has a 76 percent share of the mobile device market among small to medium businesses (SMBs), according to SMB cloud services company Intermedia. Samsung took second place with 12 percent.
