Disney CEO Bob Iger accidentally revealed a key piece of commercially-sensitive data during the company’s most recent earnings call: how many Disney+ subscribers are on ad-supported tier.
He quickly realized his mistake, commenting shortly afterwards that “I don’t know if I was supposed to disclose those AVOD [Ad-based Video On Demand] numbers” …

As it rolls out its crackdown on password sharing, Disney+ has officially launched a new paid sharing program in the United States and additional markets. This means you can officially no longer share your Disney+ account with someone outside of your household unless you pay extra to add that person to your subscription.

Disney has announced another round of price increases for all of its popular streaming services. Starting later this year, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ will all become more expensive—as will the bundle that gives you all three of those services at a discounted rate.
This round of price increases comes almost exactly a year after the last round and a year after Disney+ and Hulu began cracking down on password sharing.

Disney has started rolling out its promised two-in-one Disney+ and Hulu experience today. Currently in beta, this brings Hulu content directly to the Disney+ app for people who are subscribed to the Hulu and Disney+ bundle.

The company announced today that it would increase the pricing for ad-free Disney+ and Hulu while also saying that it is “actively exploring” ways to crack down on password sharing, similar to what Netflix recently implemented.
