Verizon vacation blackout running September 21-30 for you-know-what

TechCrunch talked to a Verizon rep who will not be taking any days off in late September. Not really surprising since everyone except Apple (directly anyhow) has called for the release date of the new iPhone on Sept. 21.

Any T-Mobile reps out there with any unexplained vacation blackout windows? Now THAT would be interesting.

In related news, MacRumors reports that Apple has begun asking resellers in Europe to triple the space for showing off iPads in its stores. One store employee said its store has until September 12th to increase the space. What a coincidence.  It’s not clear if the change is for the rumored iPad mini or the rumored revamped full-sized iPad that is said to feature the updated dock connector. At any rate, Apple wants to show off something..
