  1. Screws up my searching for service.. It now takes my phone several minutes to find my carrier and also had to be restarted the first time before finding service..

..Also, my Pano background is now buggier than ever, seems to get stuck when I unlock my phone (yes, I know panos are no longer supported in iOS 7, but it seems to me with every update they tweak it.. so there’s still hope)

What’s this? Software has bugs? Always? THAT’S INCREDIBLE. NEVER BEFORE IN THE HISTORY OF COMPUTING HAS THIS EV–you get the picture; come on.

      • One would think with the high cost of Apple products they would test things better. They have no excuse given they also make the hardware and just a handful of them at that. iOS 7 was rushed to market.

      • tallestskil - 10 years ago

One would think you’re smart enough to know that all software has bugs.

Have proof of your claims, please.

      • Jimi (@xacid) - 10 years ago

@Jeff Wolfers, I’ve used all of the iOS releases except for the original 2 and iOS 7 is a lot more stable than 6 was. As for it have bugs you obviously lack any concept of how to actually troubleshoot something. If they took the time to find every bug on the platform we wouldn’t get an update every year like we have since it would take them a lot of time and effort to do so. Any time some piece of software comes out it is going to have bugs and those bugs will get fixed as soon as they can fix it. It is how shit has worked for years.

There is an Apple TV update too !:)

I’m going to sound like that guy who is whining but this is not a disguised rant:

Reminders app no longer (i.e. in iOS 7) sorts by date (ipad & iPhone) and the iPad calendar app doesn’t drill down from month to day. These are big issues to me (tasks more than calendar because there are no good alternative task managers that work with Exchange). Is Apple saving features for 7.1?

    • Tech-Hop (@techhop_jt) - 10 years ago

Not exactly sure by what you mean that the Reminders app no longer sorts by date? If you scroll to the top (at least on the iPhone) and click on the clock icon at the top, it’ll show all of your scheduled tasks, assuming you set a date for them.

    • JohnG (@Magi1414) - 10 years ago

These feature exist already. Press the clock icon (next to the search bar when you scroll down) or choose “Scheduled” on the iPad to sort Reminders by date. As for calendar on the iPad, the idea is that you can sort of see all your day events in Month view and change them directly from there (by long-pressing). And anyway, if you tap a date in Month view (e.g. January 19) and the select “Day” from above it’ll take you to the corresponding day.

Is it still bricking iPhone 4S wireless radio?

  7. bergsmith - 10 years ago

Thanks a lot Apple!!! My daughters iPhone 5s no longer has the phone icon, mail icon or the SETTINGS ICON after doing the iOS 7.0.4!!!! My friends can’t text me b/c it says not delivered when we never had a problem. That problem started after the iOS 7.0.3!!! It’s getting to the point where I don’t want Apple products anymore!!! All you’ve done is screw things up since the iPhone 5 and the iOS updates came out recently. My daughters apps are randomly disappearing also!!! Come on Apple!!!

    • ahamling27 - 10 years ago

Why don’t you just back-up and restore the phone? This is technology we’re talking about, there will always be bugs, but a restore should start you off like new again.

    • cassmansteve - 10 years ago

@bergsmith, as mentioned, you can restore to a backup you did right before the upgrade. You did backup, right, which is the #1 rule with devices, Apple or otherwise???

It’s unfortunate that you’re having problems as my 5s is running 7.0.4 just fine. For the record, with one exception on a 3GS, I have never had a problem with any iOS upgrade, which includes on several iPads.

My phone went into recovery mood after the update.

  9. Lance Greenfield - 10 years ago

I started the upgrade from 7.0.3 to 7.0.4 on my iPhone4 about 2 hours ago. It appears to be locked with an image of a connector and the iTunes icon appearing on the screen. Does this mean that it is in the process of upgrading? How long do I have to wait until I can use my phone again?

  10. DaCalvin12 - 10 years ago

If to be honest the iOS 7 update is the worst and most pointless update in apples history, and i still want my iOS 6 back to my iPod and iPhone, but they ruined everything by closing the portal for iOS 6, so practically i don’t want any updates from Apple unless they change it to iOS 6 look in future! (i mean it.)

  11. Anybody notice that slide to unlock is now coloured based on your wallpaper in iOS 7.0.4?

  12. Angelli Meza - 10 years ago

The update did not fix my Facetime on my 4th gen ipod touch

  13. Fay Dela Cruz - 10 years ago

I lost the wifi feature of my iphone 4s just right after I had an IOS 7.04 , I’ve been to apple store and was told there is nothing they can do about it and was told to pay £158 for a new handset. My iphone was working perfectly well until that software upgrade. I tried resetting the phone to original settings but nothing happened. I also backed up to restore the phone but same negative result.

Pls, is there anyone knows how to fix the problem? I feel cheated by Apple.

Does anyone have an opinion on the iOS 6.1.5 for Ipod Touch 4th Generation…… The last I heard is that it was having trouble and I was wondering whether it had been fixed yet?

  17. Jada Walker - 10 years ago

I have a ipod 4th gen and it updated by itself and now it has a usb cord pointed at the iTunes what do I do

  18. David Hansol Park - 10 years ago

Apple, you’re acting like EA now, you just release sh*t without finishing the program developments

  19. Josh King - 10 years ago

I’m sorry to say but this is ridiculous. I own a 4th generation iPod Touch and once I upgraded to 6.1.5, it’s just the exact same iOS 6 theme no animation changes iOS 7 features whatsoever. Why couldn’t apple back in the beginning of iOS 6 just fix FaceTime before iOS 7 so the bug doesn’t occur at all. In fact, why not in the beginning of iOS 6 take the new design from iOS 7 to make customers more appealing to your company? Now you’re just deciding to leave iOS 6 to the same theme as the earlier versions, ditch the 4th gen to not upgrade to iOS 7 and fix FaceTime from there??!!! This is just as bad as ditching the first iPad to not upgrade to iOS 6!!!! I’m sorry to say but you got a lot of work to do. >:(

    • Justin Trella - 10 years ago

How so? The iPod touch 4th Generation has 256mb of ram. The problem lies right there. It shares the same specs with the iPhone 4 except the 4 has 512mb of ram. Leaving the iPod touch out was the right thing to do. If the iPhone 4 struggles as it does now under iOS 7 just imagine what the iPod touch would be like!
