The App Store, iTunes, iBooks, and more are down once again (update: fixed)

Update (6:45ET): Apple says the problem is resolved.

It’s been less than a month since the last iTunes Store outage, but Apple’s various digital storefronts are once again down for many users. According to Apple’s status page, the App Store, iTunes, iBooks, the Mac App Store, and the Volume Purchase Program have all suffered from unplanned downtime for about an hour and a half now.

The problems aren’t affecting all users, as no one here at 9to5Mac has noticed any disruption, but Apple says “some users” will see interruptions. No other services are impacted.

I tried buying an app from the App store about 1/2 hour ago and got an error saying iTunes was unable to connect to server or something like that. I clicked the Retry button and it worked the second time.

One reason I decided not to have my music on the ‘cloud’. Quite a little shock when recently I realized while staying at a place where the internet was down due to a storm. I’d be sitting here listening to nothing till the service came back. This is the icing on the cake, if their system could go down, things could get very sucky.

Not for me. Been working in iTunes all day. And also on iPhone. Haven’t gotten any errors on either

I just upgraded my windows to 10 and now my itunes won’t connect to the itunes store. Connectivity test shows good internet connection but have a “secure link to itunes failed” message. I tried reloading/repairing itunes but still the same results. Any ideas?
