Not only that, the App Store is also facing an outage this Monday, as 9to5Mac reported earlier today that privacy labels are now missing from apps.

Apple confirms the iTunes Store is currently down for some users
Update (15/10/2015): Apple services again experiencing outages across App Store, iTunes Store and more services as reported by their system status page. Not a good week for Apple’s cloud uptime.

Apple recently updated its system status page tracking issues with its services, stores and iCloud to note the ongoing problem with the iTunes store for some users:
“Users are experiencing a problem with the service listed above. We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.”
The outage has been affecting some users since around 12pm ET, according to Apple, and is yet to be resolved.
Yesterday a number of users reported experiencing issues with Apple’s online services but Apple didn’t detail the problems on its status page.

Some users experiencing issues downloading iTunes & App Store content ahead of iOS 9 tomorrow
According to several users around the web and Apple’s own System Status website, the iTunes Store has been experiencing issues throughout the day. Apple’s System Status webpage shows that the outage began around 3PM ET and lasted for an hour and a half before being resolved. Now, however, it appears that the iTunes Store is down yet again.
Apple says that “some users” are affected by the problem and that it is investigating the issues. Downdetector.com shows that the outage became more widspread around 6PM ET, with users reporting issues downloading content, opening the store, and logging in. Apple Music content does not appear to be affected by these issues.
Users are also reporting that similar issues are affecting the App Store, although Apple has yet to acknowledge those claims on its official System Status website. The Order Status page on Apple.com is also currently down and displaying a “We’re sorry” error message.
We’ll update this post as Apple updates its System Status website. Have you been having issues with the App Store, iTunes Store, or Apple.com? Let us know in the comments.

iTunes Connect experiencing multi-day outage for many users, here’s a fix
A noticeably large number of users are reporting issues logging into iTunes Connect, Apple’s developer portal for managing and distributing apps and other content to the App Store and iTunes. The outage appears to only be affecting a subset of users (we’ve had success logging in, for instance), but a growing number of developers have publicly voiced complaints online. Some users report not being able to access the service for going on four days:
Apple currently has yet to report any issues for iTunes Connect on its System Status page that tracks and reports downtime for its developer services.

Many iCloud services experiencing downtime for users [U: Restored]
According to Apple’s system status webpage, several of its iCloud services are experiencing issues this evening. The support page shows that Documents in the Cloud, iCloud Backup, iCloud Drive, iMessage, iWork for iCloud, Mail Drop, and Photos are all experiencing intermittent service issues. The outages have ben going on since 8AM PT/11AM ET, if not longer since Apple is usually late to update its system status graph.
Last night, Beats 1 experienced a widespread outage for upwards of 30 minutes. iMessage also experienced a significant outage a little more than a week ago, although Apple never offically acknowledged the issues that plagued many users for several hours.
We’ll keep this post updated with the status of iCloud services throughout the afternoon.
Users may notice slower than normal performance when using iCloud Drive, My Photo Stream, iWork for iCloud, Backup & Restore, iPhoto Journals, iMessage attachments, Mail Drop, or iMovie Theater.

[Update: The issues seem to be resolved around 12:00 PM EST.]

No word on Apple’s official iCloud system status page, but the Calendar and Reminders web apps on iCloud.com are currently down as several readers have pointed out. We’ve tested it here and the above error was returned. Apple’s iMessage service suffered a similar outage earlier this week with users reporting widespread downtime. Other iCloud web apps appear to be working properly. We’ll keep an eye on the outage and update if anything changes, but if you’re seeing the outage it’s not just you.

Update: American Airlines has confirmed that the problem was with a bad update to the Jepson app that added Ronald Reagan Airport map. The app provides maps of runways and more information to pilots. Until the app can be fixed, the airline has informed pilots of a workaround to prevent future delays.
Two years ago, American Airlines replaced the paper versions of its cockpit documents with iPad flight bags on all planes. At the time, the airline touted that the switch would both save money for the company and make the lives of pilots easier. This evening, however, more than several dozen American Airlines flights have been affected by an outage related to the app used by American Airlines pilots. Many flights have been delayed and passengers forced to exit the planes.

Starting about half an hour ago, the App Store is currently experiencing errors where apps do not finish downloading (or updating). Some users are reporting obtuse error messages, like the one above, whereas others are simply left with paused downloads on their iOS and Mac devices.
Availability likely varies by App Store region, but Twitter reports of App Store issues started around 6.30 Pacific Time. The problems are sporadic and do not necessarily arise on every device, but have been seen to occur across operating system versions: it is not limited to iOS 8 and Yosemite (which is still in beta).
Apple is yet to update its system service status page to acknowledge any issues.

On the same day as the rocky iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-order, Apple is reporting on its iCloud System Status site that a small percentage of users are experiencing issues with iCloud Mail and iCloud Notes. Earlier this week, iOS users discovered that the App Store was experiencing some technical issues that caused every item for sale to become unavailable. Now, only two days later, the company’s status page indicates that the App Store on Mac and iOS, iBooks Store, and various iTunes services such as the music store and Radio, are all suffering from even more downtime.
According to the status page, the issues first cropped up around 4:30 PM and have persisted for about three hours so far. A notice on the page states that only “some users” are having difficulty accessing the store, but there’s no mention of exactly how many users could be impacted.

The iOS App Store seems to be suffering a major outage, though Apple’s system status page doesn’t yet say that there are any issues (update: now it does). Users took to Twitter to point out that every single application listed on the store is now returning an error stating that it is “no longer available.” Typically this error is reserved for applications that have been pulled from sale.
The Mac App Store seems to be fine and still allows downloading applications. However, both the desktop and mobile versions of the iOS store are experiencing the issue.
Update: Apple has acknowledged that “[some] users may be unable to access multiple stores or make purchases.” The page lists issues for the App Store, the iBooks Store, and the iTunes music store. It also indicates that the issue is ongoing, though a few people have noted that they can now download apps.
Update 2: Apple System Status now says systems are functioning normally, 7 hours after we initially reported the outage.

Following several reports from readers earlier today that Apple’s iCloud Mail service was experiencing an outage, Apple has now updated its system status page to reflect the downtime.
Apple says that “some users are affected” and that “users may be unable to receive iCloud mail”. During President Obama’s live remarks addressing the government shutdown and Obamacare site outages today, the U.S President compared the issues with healthcare.gov to an Apple product launch (via WashingtonPost):
Now, like every new law, every new product roll-out, there are going to be some glitches in the sign-up process along the way that we will fix. I’ve been saying this from the start. For example, we found out that there have been times this morning where the site’s been running more slowly than it normally will.
And we’re going to be speeding things up in the next few hours to handle all of this demand that exceeds anything that we had expected. Consider that just a couple of weeks ago, Apple rolled out a new mobile operating system, and within days, they found a glitch, so they fixed it. I don’t remember anybody suggesting Apple should stop selling iPhones or iPads or threatening to shut down the company if they didn’t. That’s not how we do things in America. We don’t actively root for failure. We get to work, we make things happen, we make them better, we keep going.
He is of course referring to the release of iOS 7.0.2 last week, which brought fixes for a lock screen passcode bypass flaw and other small issues.
Obama is a confirmed iPad user and is frequently seen carrying around the device so perhaps he’s speaking from some 1st hand experience… expand full story

Apple’s iCloud servers once again experiencing major outages for a growing number of users
Update, 9:34 AM: Apple has now updated its System Status page to confirm the outages we reported earlier this morning. Apple reports some users experienced issues with account & sign in for iCloud, purchases for iTunes, Game Center, and creating new Apple IDs:
Over the last couple of months Apple’s iCloud servers have been experiencing major outages approximately every couple of weeks and today a growing number of users are once again complaining of issues accessing various iCloud services.
9to5Mac readers in several countries have reached out to Apple support who confirmed the outages, although Apple is yet to update its System Status page to reflect the downtime. Apple is typically at least a few hours behind in reporting outages.
As highlighted by hundreds of users on Twitter, the outages appear to be affecting multiple iCloud services including Mail, third-party apps attempting to access iCloud credentials, and Find my iPhone. Others are simply receiving an error message when attempting to access any iCloud service. Some users are also reporting that iCloud is requesting they reset their passwords as if their account is experiencing a security issue.
We’ll update this post when/if Apple finally reports the outages.
