iPhone 7 |

We kick things off with the latest iPhone 7 leaks including rumored pricing for the device, an alleged leak that also hints at a possible new “Pro” line for the next-generation iPhone.

There were also a few other iPhone 7 leaks this week. One showed a slightly larger earpiece & relocated ambient light sensor, and another claimed iPhone 7 may include EarPods w/ headphone jack + Lightning to 3.5mm adapter.

iOS 10 |

Following Apple’s official unveiling at WWDC 2016 earlier this month, we dug deeper into iOS 10 this week with some more hands-on action, while yet more evidence of a ‘Dark Mode’ in the works was discovered in the latest beta release.

August, Canary, Withings, D-Link, Ring & others confirmed Apple HomeKit support will arrive with iOS 10, and Apple itself confirmed it intentionally left the iOS 10 kernel unencrypted for better software optimization.

Mark Zuckerberg’s MacBook security methods received a bit of attention this week (hint: tape over the webcam and microphone). And Apple officially discontinued its Thunderbolt Display while reports of the same fate for the aging non-Retina MacBook Pro with optical drive surfaced.

AAPL |

We move onto to some company news as Apple’s $400M payout to customers in the ebook price-fixing settlement began this week. Apple also kicked off enrollment for its Apple Camp sessions for coding, movie-making, and story-telling for kids, and it took a stance against Trump by withholding financial & tech aid from the upcoming GOP convention.

We finish off with those stories and more before heading on to this week’s top video with a look at 30 additional new iOS 10 features.
