Twitter is bringing searchable, emoji-like ‘#Stickers’ to your tweet pics

STICKERS

Messaging apps like WeChat, Line, and Path have made stickers as popular as emoji, and now Twitter is joining in on the fun with searchable ‘#Stickers’ that you can add to your tweet pics.

Soon, you can browse our rotating sets of stickers to join in on real-time conversations, and select from the library of hundreds of accessories, emoji, and props to make your photos more fun. Use them to share what you’re doing or how you’re feeling, to show support for a cause, or to just add some flair.

Twitter’s take on stickers is a bit novel, too, as tapping on a sticker over a tweet pic shows you other tweet pics that use the same sticker as they work like hashtags. Twitter #Stickers are coming soon to iOS and Android and will be viewable from the web.

Apple’s also embracing the sticker craze this year with iOS 10. Messages on iPhone and iPad is gaining its own App Store for iMessage that will support new types of apps including custom sticker packs.
