WSJ: Apple is selling the tablet to the big book publishers

The WSJ today reports that HarperCollins, the large book publishing house, is in talks to distribute its content with Apple.  The report goes on to say that other publishers have been in touch with Apple as well about putting their content on Apple’s device though they wouldn’t publish any other names.

While the Apple-talking-to-publishers-about-the-tablet isn’t new, the WSJ speculates that with the tablet, Apple would be able to knock Amazon off of its perch atop the eBook world – or at least give them a run for their money.  They demo their idea of what an Apple tablet would be like (video embedded below).
