Apple will be live-streaming today’s launch event on web & Apple TV

Apple will be live streaming today’s launch event, first revealed by the Apple Events channel returning to Apple TV, the icon displaying the theme for the event and a message saying “tune in at 10 am for the live stream.”

The event will also be streamed on the web when it begins at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern. As usual, live streaming requires Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later; Safari on iOS 4.2 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later.

Yes!! Finally don’t have to wait until they upload the video in the evening! Otherwise I will have to dodge all the tech websites to avoid spoilers :p

That’s what I did for the iPhone event. Minutes before it started I virtually muted all tech chatter from my life until I got home in the afternoon and watched the event completely spoiler free and “rewindable” on my iPad/Apple TV which was nice

I don’t mind doing that, but I’m happy they’re live-streaming today’s event because with the performance hit iOS 7 has put on my 3rd gen iPad I’m considering upgrading if it has Touch ID and other attractive features (such as a keyboard cover that won’t fit on my current iPad).

I’ve got an ATV 2.Gen (iOS 5.3) with tethered Jailbreak. I live in Germany and the Apple Events Icon doesn’t show up for me. Is it possible they blocked it for jailbroken Devices?

Already did a tethered safe reboot

    Thanks in advance

I am having the same issue, though I am on 5.2 and in Canada with a VPN to the US.

Rebooted, etc. Still nothing. I will airplay it from my MBA, but its JUST NOT THE SAME!

Anyone able to get through on a JB Apple TV?
