Capo touch brings music learning to iOS, Mac version adds iCloud Sync and more

Earlier this year we showed you Capo, the software that turns your iTunes library into songs you can learn to play on guitar, when version 3.0 of the music learning software for Mac was released. Today SuperMegaUltraGroovy is releasing the first mobile version of that powerful software for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and the developers are updating the Mac version with brand-new features as well.

Using Capo touch on iOS is as simple and easy as you would expect featuring super fast access to music stored locally on your device with cool features like the ability to speed up and slow down music as well as suppress the vocals of a song to focus on the music.

The features found on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch version include:

  • Fully automatic chord detection with Capo’s brand new Chord Intelligence engine
  • Guitar chord box display with quick selection of alternate ways to play a chord
  • Automatic beat detection with bar/beat display for easy region looping and metronome count-off for practice
  • Seamless integration with iTunes to access your music library
  • Landscape view, easy scrolling, touch zooming, and other user interface improvements
  • Independent speed and pitch controls to listen to fast licks slowly or change the key of any song
  • Excellent sound quality even when played considerably slower

Capo touch for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch is available today on the App Store for the introductory price of $4.99. Capo 3.1 for Mac is available as a free update for existing users, and capo for Mac is available to new customers for at 50% the regular price of $29.99 for a limited time bringing the price to $14.99 on the Mac App Store.

    The price is still $29.99. Maybe it doesn’t change until some sort of PST time?
