i wonder will it be overpriced. the mac app price was just ridiculous.

    • You’ll have to repurchase the app when it goes 3.0 for $69.99, but don’t worry there will be an introductory sale price of $49.99 for those upgrading.

I had to look up the price (couldn’t remember) and it looks like it’s $50. If that’s an app someone uses everyday and finds it really useful, that’s not really that much. For myself – someone who likes to just get apps and try them out – that price would keep my away. I’m sure someone that isn’t sure if it’s for them or not probably wouldn’t try it out either… but an app that someone uses probably multiple times a day, $50 doesn’t seem like it’s that bad.

It isn’t that expensive, and I happily paid the two developers that work on Fantastical. They do an amazing job building an extremely useful calendar that I use every day on my Mac and iPhone.

If you consider what $50 is to you and what it means to them and their effort, it’s really worth it. And yes, that’s even considering the 3-year lifecycle they’re on between major versions that are paid.

But from the looks of it this will be an unpaid upgrade, but it looks great.

  2. If they could, Flexibits would love to make this a separate app purchase and charge us $29.99 without any free upgrades.
