I’m at Apple Park for today’s “Surprise and shine” event, headlined by the rumored announcement of the iPhone 18 Pro and the foldable iPhone Duo. We’re also expecting the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo: Live blog

  • iPhone Duo details: Apple unveils foldable iPhone Duo
  • Pre-order today, pricing unchanged for Series 12 ($399) and Ultra 4 ($799).
  • Apple Watch Series 12 comes in space gray, black, light gold, and dark bronze for aluminum. Ceramic is also back, available in pearl white and night blue.
  • New Audio Intelligence feature, Sound Recognition support on Apple Watch. Siri Recap uses ambient listening to take high-level notes of your day.
  • Now we’re moving on to AirPods 5, richer and deeper sound for different ear sizes. 50% more noise reduction than AirPods 4.
  • iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 for 256GB, iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299 for 256GB. Pre-order Saturday, September 12; available September 18.
  • Smaller Dynamic Island with up to three Live Activities at once.
  • 48MP Fusion main camera with variable aperture for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
  • iPhone 18 Pro Max has the largest increase ever for iPhone. Up to 30 hours per charge. Faster charging, up to 50% charge in 15 minutes.
  • A20 Pro chip: 2 new “desktop-class” super cores, 4 new efficiency cores. 7-core GPU.
  • New Black, light blue, glacier (silver), and burgundy (red) finishes
  • We’re starting the iPhone 18 Pro segment with a recap of recent Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features.
  • We’re starting with iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
