In May, Lux Optics launched the all-new Halide Mark III pro camera app for iPhone. Today, Halide is back with its first update for iPhone 18 Pro, plus new features for all iPhone photographers.
Halide Mark III is all about enabling iPhone users to take better photos.
It includes a redesigned camera, a new photo editor, and Halide looks, which give your shots specific styles.
Halide 3.1 arrived in July, building on top of the release with an additional Halide look and more.

Now Halide 3.2 is here, and it’s ready for the upgraded iPhone 18 Pro camera system.
Aperture Priority mode
This includes Aperture Priority mode, which builds on Halide’s ability to select any f-number between ƒ/1.48 and ƒ/4.0.
(The built-in Camera app supports automatic variable aperture mode, or manually selecting ƒ/1.48, ƒ/1.8, ƒ/2.8, or ƒ/4.0.)
Halide 3.2’s Aperture Priority mode for iPhone 18 Pro lets you set a target f-number, then Halide adjusts the shutter speed and ISO based on the shot.
Fully manual mode enables direct ISO control as well.
New Halide looks: dawn and quicksilver
Additionally, Halide 3.2 adds two new looks for all iPhones: dawn and quicksilver.
Dawn “offers filmic warmth in the mid-tones and highlights with gentle, rich shadows” while quicksilver “pairs high contrast with muted color, inspired by silver-retention processes.”
Lastly, Halide 3.2 introduces 16:9 aspect ratio shooting mode.
Halide Mark III can be purchased outright for $69.99, or subscribers can access the new app for $19.99/year.
