After much speculation about a potential Apple announcement in the coming days, the company today confirmed that it will hold a special event on October 30 to unveil new Macs. Titled “Scary fast,” the event will be broadcast online on Monday – and Apple is already promoting it on X (formerly Twitter) with a special #AppleEvent hashmoji.
#AppleEvent hashmoji on X
As pointed out by @Hashmojis, the new icon can be seen on X and is displayed whenever users make a post containing the hashtag #AppleEvent. The hashmoji, as the platform calls it, is a scaled-down version of the animated Apple logo featured on the “Scary fast” event web page.
The official Apple Events webpage features an animated version of the Apple logo, which transforms into a spooky Finder face. Apple’s latest event visuals have often lacked clarity regarding the topics to be covered in the presentation. The inclusion of the Finder logo on the event webpage essentially confirms that we can expect the unveiling of new Macs next week.
Notably, Apple has previously conducted events in October and November focused on introducing new Macs, aligning perfectly with the current schedule. There are rumors about both the iMac and MacBook Pro getting an upgrade – perhaps with a new M3 chip.
Interestingly, this event will be exclusively broadcast online without an in-person gathering, which means that the press won’t be there at Apple Park. Apple will broadcast the presentation live on its website, Apple TV app, and YouTube. The event will take place on Monday, October 30, at 5 p.m. PT.
