Tim Cook in China visiting stores, developers, musicians, universities, photographer

Apple CEO Tim Cook is currently in China, taking time to visit retail store, developers, musicians, universities, and a well-known fashion photographer …

We learned yesterday that Apple is supporting a national parks initiative in the country, and Cook commented on this in his Weibo account.

National parks deepen our connection to nature and remind us just how precious our planet is. We’re excited to partner with CGCF to support China’s national parks and cultivate the next generation of environmental leaders.

He met with fashion photographer Chen Man, who shot some photos of Cook on her iPhone 16 Pro Max.

It’s great to be back in Beijing with the talented Chen Man. Walking through the neighborhood where she grew up and seeing how the city inspires her work was truly special. I love the way she captures the beauty of Beijing with iPhone 16 Pro Max.

And musician Lexie Liu.

Spending time with Lexie Liu was wonderful. Thank you for sharing how iPhone and Mac play a part in your musical journey and creative process. Good luck on your upcoming tour!

Cook visited two universities to see how students are using Apple devices.

We’re deeply committed to empowering communities and creating opportunities, so it was great meeting with students from China Agricultural University and Zhejiang University to learn more about how they’re using iPhone and iPad to help farmers adopt more efficient and sustainable practices. Thank you to CFRD and everyone at Science and Technology Backyards—we’re proud to support your work!

Also on his itinerary was a meeting with developers Gala Sports.

The gamers of NBA Rivals were in fierce competition! With stunning graphics and incredibly realistic visual effects, Gala Sports showed me how they are tapping into the power of the iPhone 16 lineup and its A18 series chips for a gaming experience that feels like you’re right on the court.

Apple recently partnered with China Mobile to offer more Apple Music deals.
