It hasn’t been long since Apple first began selling refurbished AirPods, starting with the AirPods 3 – which were first released in October 2021. Now, the company is expanding its refurbished store with AirPods Pro 2, but only in a few European countries for now.

And Apple’s headset will remind users that it works best with the new version of AirPods.

As iOS 17 is now available, Apple has also released a firmware update for the second-generation AirPods Pro that brings some new features, including Adaptive Audio. The feature combines both Transparency and Noise Cancellation modes together and balances between them based on the external environment. Interestingly, Apple once considered using the iPhone’s GPS to control Adaptive Audio levels – which ended up not happening.

Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C charging arrive in stores today. The new hardware is more than just a revised charging case though. As we know, the updated AirPods Pro 2 will be capable of streaming lossless audio from the Vision Pro headset when it ships early next year. Apple credits the H2 chip, but it’s still been a bit of a mystery since both versions have this processor.
