Lloyds Bank Apple Pay support appears to be a small step away from going live

Apple Pay officially launched in the U.K. earlier this summer with support from 8 banks, but notably missing from the list was popular bank Lloyds. It appears, however, that Lloyds is inching closer to launching support Apple Pay. As noted by several readers, U.K. residents can now add a Lloyds card to your Wallet, and almost complete the process, but the app presents an error at the end when you are presented with the terms and conditions…

Simple for iOS gets redesigned from the ground up in 2.0 update

If you haven’t heard of Simple, it’s definitely one of the most 2014-friendly banks out there. Known for its excellent mobile applications, the bank works just like any bank, but gives you a plethora features in both its mobile and web applications to make banking and tracking spending much easier. Today, the company is pushing version 2.0 of the app to Android and iOS users—and the latter will be especially happy because the app still hadn’t been updated to match the iOS 7 aesthetic until today.

Chase Mobile updated with new design for iOS 7, adds secure messaging and more

Chase updated its iPhone app today with a new design for iOS 7—nearly a year after the operating system was first shown to the public—and a few new features. The update also includes the ability to see and reply to secure messages from the bank, as well as the ability to view limits on your mobile desposits.

Other updates to the app include Spanish localization, improved accessibility features, and a revised frequently asked questions page about the app’s security.

PayPal iPhone app updated w/ iOS 7 redesign, withdraw to bank, QR/bar code scanning, more

PayPal is releasing an updated iPhone app today that on top of introducing a redesign for iOS 7 also introduces a few new features.

You’ll notice a number of UI tweaks in the new app and a redesign that fits in with the look and feel of iOS 7, but you’ll also now be able to withdraw money from your PayPal balance to your bank account within the Wallet tab. Also new is the ability to pay by scanning QR and bar codes a select retail partners:

In addition, version 5.2 of PayPal for iPhone includes the ability to choose your home screen for fast access to the features you use most.
