Flexibits just released the first teaser for the upcoming Fantastical 2 for Mac app. The teaser includes new iconography matching OS X Yosemite’s aesthetics similar to the iOS 7 and later versions of Fantastical 2 for iPhone and iPad. Fantastical 2 for Mac will obviously be the sequel to the popular language parsing calendar utility for Mac.
The new version of the smart calendar app is due out in one week on March 25th, the teaser reveals, and we’ll have a full, hands-on review at launch so stay tuned. I’ve always thought their pricing is steep, but the app is very handy on the Mac, especially the natural language event entry.
I wonder why people don’t know that the built-in Calendar app in os x fully supports natural language event entry, and result to buying a $20 app that does the same. “Lunch with David next Thursday at 12” will produce the exact same result in Fantastical and the built-in Calendar app.
@Tristan The date and month calendar in menubar is really handy. Granted it’s basically a souped up TinyCal for $20. It should be closer to $4 IMHO, but there’s a market for it so why not.
