Apple CEO Tim Cook spotted partying w/ Bollywood celebs, visiting film set in India [Gallery]

In between announcing a new development office that will create 4,000 jobs in India and meeting with local iOS developers, Apple CEO Tim Cook was spotted visiting a film set before partying with Bollywood celebrities at an event reportedly hosted by Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan this week.

Khan tweeted several images (below) and other images of the event are circulating on Twitter and elsewhere online (via IndiaExpress). Other high-profile figures reportedly in attendance at the event included Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Farah Khan, and A.R. Rahman.

And Cook was pictured visiting film director Mahesh Bhatts on set where he also met with Indian actor Emraan Hashmi:

Recent reports have noted that Apple has been meeting with top talent regarding original content for its in-development video service that we’ve reported previously is expected to launch sometime this year. But it’s unclear whether or not Cook’s visits with actors in India were business related or just downtime during his media tour in the country.

Cook also appeared at an Indian Premier League game during his visit:

Cook is visiting India after a recent stop in China and used the visit today to officially announce a new development office Apple plans to open in Hyderabad. Apple said staff at the office will focus on Apple Maps and that around 4,000 jobs will be created in the process.

“The talent here in the local area is incredible and we are looking forward to expanding our relationships and introducing more universities and partners to our platforms as we scale our operations,” Cook said in Apple’s announcement for the new facility.

Cook took some time to meet with app developers while in India following the announcement earlier this week:
