Apple’s Black Friday deal is on now – but it looks as if a price competition between Apple and Amazon is taking place at the UK store. Don’t believe me? Then do take a look:
The 13-inch MacBook Pro with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB RAM, a 250GB Hard Drive and Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics and SD card costs you £897.90 in the UK on Amazon with free delivery.
Over at the Apple store you’ll see the same product shipping for £918. That’s a £20 difference, and gives you a £100 saving on the normal price of the product.
At the high-end of the MacBook Pro range, Amazon offers the MacBook Pro 17inch 2.53GHz (Intel Core i5, 4Gb RAM, 500Gb HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 512 MB, Express Card/34 Slot, Intel HD Graphics) for £1,771.92, again with free delivery. This will cost you £1,818 at Apple’s store.
In the US, Apple is offering the equivalent MacBook Pro (13-inch) for $1,098 — it costs the same price on Amazon. Apple is also offering the 17-inch model for $2,198 ($101 less), where Amazon is offering it for $245 less than retail price.
The moral of the tale? Keep searching for the best bargain before hitting the ‘Buy it now’ button on any site. 9to5’s US Toys team will be keeping you apprised of the best US deals all through Black Friday.
