T-Mobile schedules Uncarrier 7.0 event for day after new iPhone unveiling: ‘This time it’s personal’

T-Mobile just sent out invites to press for its big upcoming Uncarrier 7.0 event scheduled for September 10. That’s a day after Apple is set to announce its new iPhones and possibly other products on September 9, so it’s possible T-Mobile will dedicate at least some stage time to iPhone related announcements.

Its tagline on the invite reads, “This time it’s personal,” but what exactly that means will be anyone’s guess until early next month. Apple is expected to introduce its next-generation iPhones the day before T-Mobile’s September 10 event, but it’s also expected to give us a look at its new, much-hyped wearable product

T-Mobile has been rolling out a number of new services and initiatives in recent months including its new Music Freedom Program in June and most recently an announcement it would double tablet data and introduce enhanced family plan lines.

Well I’m kinda excited. I’m moving to tmo at the end of September so this should be fun.

  2. I switch to T-Mobile from Verizon a couple months ago and couldn’t be happier. It’ll be a one-two punch with Apple’s event. I can’t wait!

I looked into switching to TMobile, but to get the same data plan as we have with Verizon, we’d be paying the same per month, but for worse coverage.

I would say that the “Password: SPEAKEASY” is a clear reference to the “Back to the Future” movie or game…

I’m guessing (hoping) it will announce unlimited data for social networks- that way, it’s personal.

Not quite ready to switch to T-mobile due to coverage issues, but keep up the good work and maybe two years when I am off Verizon contract, I will make the switch.

Notice there is a password revealed on the picture… Sort of like the “security” team at the world cup

I’m surprised no one has mentioned a possible correlation between “We wish we could say more,” and “SPEAKEASY”

    Seems to be speech related?!

And I’m surprised no one has mentioned a correlation between “This TIME it’s personal”, and the fact that it’s a day after the Apple event where they are rumoured to announce the iWatch.

Possibly hinting wifi calling with that password??
