Apple Retail SVP Angela Ahrendts pens holiday note: “Let peace begin with me”

Angela Ahrendts

Burberry CEO-turned-Apple Retail SVP Angela Ahrendts returned to posting on her LinkedIn blog after nearly five months over the weekend with a holiday message to her followers: “Let peace begin with me.”

In the blog post, Ahrendts wrote about her effort to share a leadership lesson relevant to the holidays, something which she admits she has struggled to do initially, but points to being inspired by B.J. Thomas’ recording of “Let There Be Peace On Earth.”

Ahrendts shared that she performed the song on piano when she was younger but the lyrics especially hit home “amid all the turmoil in the world today.” Ahrendts then pointed to a set of lyrics from the song that especially resonated with her today concluding that “There’s no better gift to give than one of hope and peace.”

Ahrendts last posted to her LinkedIn blog in June with an entry titled “Starting Anew” in which she wrote about her transition to the culture at Apple. The blog post then marked her first on her LinkedIn blog since joining Apple with her latest entry only her second entry during her Apple tenure.

As a whole, Apple has acknowledged the season with its well-received holiday ad entitled “The Song”, which spawned a later released behind-the-scenes video as well.

Let’s see if she can increase Apple retail store sales, first of all or whatever else she was hired to do.

Then ask Foxconn to increase the wages of their workers.
10 dollars more per month would only cost Apple 10 million dollars per month.

    Does she know Prem Rawat?

  5. P.S. You’re fired.
