Rogue Amoeba launches Farrago, a polished soundboard app for Mac

Rogue Amoeba is known for making quality audio tools for macOS, and its latest release Farrago continues that effort. Farrago is a super polished soundboard app for Mac created for podcasters and theater techs.

Farrago provides the best way to quickly play sound bites, audio effects, and music clips on your Mac. Podcasters can use Farrago to include musical accompaniment and sound effects during recording sessions, while theater techs can run the audio for live shows. Whether it’s providing quick access to a large library of sounds or running through a defined list of audio, Farrago is ready to assist!

The Mac app features an intuitive grid that lets you rearrange and stack audio clips and create collections of soundbites for different uses.

Farrago also lets you assign sounds to global hot key combinations so you can invoke any clip with a keyboard shortcut, and the app even stores your soundbites in a library so you don’t have to manage them elsewhere.

The app is targeted toward podcasters who regularly use sound effects during intros, outros, and in between segments as well as radio broadcasters and theater techs who run audio through the Mac.

Farrago is free to download and try, and costs $49 for a single user license, but early adopters can save 20% for a limited time and pick up the macOS soundboard app for $39.

During the trial period, audio clips will degrade in sound quality after 20 plays per launch.
