Playlist cover artwork app ‘Denim’ now integrates with Spotify

As previously covered here on 9to5Mac, Denim is a powerful app that provides tools for creating and customizing cover artwork for playlist. Following an update in August that added many new options to the app, Denim is now getting another update – this time with Spotify integration.

Denim app now works with Spotify

With the update, Denim users can now create and update the covers of their Spotify playlists without leaving the app. All you need to do is connect your Spotify account to Denim. Then, after creating a new artwork, you no longer need to save it in your photo library before uploading it to Spotify.

The integration is even more seamless than with Apple Music, which still requires manually saving the image and changing the playlist artwork in the Apple Music app.

There are also some other changes in Denim 3.3, including:

  • All-new Patterns category exclusively for your Spotify playlist. Design by Daniel Baketaric
  • New artwork additions to Colors category: Sky & Vapor
  • New artwork additions to Artists category: Immersive & Framed
  • Critical bug fixes & improved performance across the board

These features join the ones previously added with version 3.0, such as the brand new editor that suggests artwork based on the artists users listen to the most.

Denim is available for free on the App Store, but a $19.99 in-app purchase is required to unlock all the artwork styles. If you prefer, there’s a $4.99 a year subscription to unlock the Pro features. The app requires an iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
