Apple today launches its next original film, The Gorge, streaming now exclusively on Apple TV+.

The Gorge stars Anya-Taylor Joy and Miles Teller as operatives tasked with guarding a vast chasm, protecting the world from the evil within. The pair communicate via message boards and strike up a bond. As this film is debuting on Valentines Day, it is probably not a spoiler to suggest there is a romantic relationship underpinning this action film.

The next generation iPhone is expected to arrive later this year, but there are already plenty of rumors about it – especially when it comes to design and cameras. Previous rumors have suggested that the iPhone 17 Pro models will have a new rear camera design with a different bump. Now 3D renders shared by Jon Prosser show what the final version of the new phones might look like.

Breaking news from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg: Trump’s attorney general Pam Bondi has reportedly penned a letter to Apple that grants the company permission to restore TikTok in the App Store.

Apple left the Mac in a bad place when it came to external displays between 2016 and 2022. After discontinuing the Thunderbolt Display, Apple relied on LG to sell a plasticky monitor with PC-maker build quality if you wanted a standalone 27-inch monitor with 5K Retina resolution. Apple eventually started selling an ultra premium (in Mac display terms) monitor with the 32-inch 6K Pro Display XDR, but it has always been priced the same as a small truck of Mac mini computers.

However, just three years after releasing the Apple Studio Display, it sounds like Apple may be planning a decent revision in the near future.

Apple’s about to launch its next iPhone SE, but later this year the flagship iPhone 17 lineup will arrive. A new rumor has just indicated the iPhone 17 Pro Max will come with a key display advantage: a Dynamic Island that may be substantially smaller.

Now the Bundeskartellamt (Federal Cartel Office) in Germany has issued its “preliminary legal assessment” which alleges that ATT only applies to third-party apps and not Apple, violating antitrust policy. In turn, Apple has responded.
