A new crowdfunding project aims to take the $349 Apple Watch Sport and convert it into an 18k gold Apple Watch Edition model for $2000– a fraction of the $10,000-$17,000 price range Apple charges for its gold Apple Watch Edition.
$100 raised in 6 days? What a joke. Watch Edition has huge markups for sure but not $15K worth.
They should have done their homework: it would have been better to take the Apple Watch as base for this project, instead of the Sport. Otherwise you would miss the sapphire crystal front and ceramic back.
