As Tim Cook honors what would have been Steve Jobs’ 60th birthday, the Apple CEO has been spotted in Berlin, Germany. Specifically, Cook has made an appearance at the newsroom of BILD (Bild-Zeitung), the famous German newspaper, alongside the publication’s editors-in-chief Kai Diekmann and Julian Reichelt.
Notably, BILD the newspaper is a sister publication to Computer BILD the technology magazine which famously said it lost access to review units and Apple events following their coverage of the iPhone 6 and ‘#bendgate’ last fall.
It’s unclear exactly why Cook has traveled to Germany to meet with the paper’s editors today (perhaps Cook is promoting the Apple Watch to foreign media ahead of its debut or granting an interview to the publication?), but the visit follows yesterday’s trip to the glass producer in Augsburg for Apple’s Campus 2 project.
You can see more of Cook at BILD below.
(Notice the large Surface-like touch screen table computer… begging for an iPad Pro, anyone?)

Let me guess. Tim Cook is making peace with Bild:

He’s been in Germany since Monday. He visited the manufacturer of the glass panels which are used at all Apple Stores and at the new Apple Campus. Story (in German): http://www.manager-magazin.de/unternehmen/industrie/a-1020081.html
And BILD is just famous for its ‘dumbness’, really for nothing else.
your last sentence is definitely rigth!
Computer Bild may be a villain for Apple, but the main BILD newspaper is definitely a big Apple fan. They are reporting a lot of Apple and about their greatness. IPad gifts etc. are popular on the BILD-Website, too. E.g. they reported today about the planned Apple-DataCenters in Europe..
I think the funniest moment was when they showed Cook their Software on a Windows “Touch-PC”..
“I think the funniest moment was when they showed Cook their Software on a Windows “Touch-PC”..”
I’m afraid your wrong here. That piece of software is OS X only. It’s Called touch image by sedna from Berlin…
Tim would make an amazing USA President. We need more people like him.
nope.
Why do you think that?
just kidding around – truth is, I’m impressed by how so many head’s of state want to meet with Tim. Perhaps this is typical of all major corporation CEO’s – I don’t really know. But everyone seems to like him and find something in common with Tim and that alone impresses me.
Again, just messing around and nothing more than that. :-)
Unfortunate that a professional thought “@AppleOfficial” was the Apple Twitter account.
It’s not even AppleOfficial—it’s AppleOfflcial, with an L after FF.
Axel Springer, the publisher behind BILD, is a big Mac proponent. As far as I know the majority of their office equipment comes from Apple. A paradisiacal workplace for fanboys.
