Apple adds 13 new Apple Pay retailers to website, bringing total to 58 merchants

Apple has added 13 new retailers to its Apple Pay site, bringing the new total to 58 merchants. The biggest name wasn’t a surprise: Tim Cook gave a shout-out to Coca-Cola vending machines during Monday’s Spring Forward event, with 40,000 machines supported today, and a further 60,000 being upgraded by the end of the year …

There’s something of a fresh market theme going on, with Dan’s Fresh Market, Dick’s Fresh Market and Lin’s Fresh Market all added, along with Bashas’, Fuddruckers, Jamba Juice, Jersey Mike’s, JetBlue, Maceys, Office Max, Pep Boys and Regal Cinemas.

Acme, Albertsons, Anthropologie, Free People, LL Bean and Urban Outfitters are all listed as “coming soon.”

Apple has also been busy bringing apps into the Apple Pay fold, with Kickstarter and GameStop added yesterday, with the Etsy store and Marriott Hotels coming soon. The company also recently brought 18 more banks and credit unions on-board, bringing the total to a nice round 100.

I use Apple Pay much more than I thought I would. I use it mostly in taxis, at the grocery, and vending machines. It isn’t always clear who takes it, but it is easy and reliable.

This only gets stronger with more retailers…the snowball effect. I’m with “standardpull”, I use Apple Pay a lot more than I imagined I would.

GameStop retail stores are adding it as well
