Here are the 100+ new emoji arriving on iPhone and iPad this year [Video]

The final list for Emoji 11.0 has been finalized and it features 157 new emoji. The Unicode Consortium has announced that among the latest emoji will be superheroes, redheads, partying face, hot face, cold face, infinity, and much more.

As reported by Emojipedia, the Emoji 11.0 update will likely arrive to users in the second half of 2018. Apple typically updates its emoji in the fall after new iOS releases, last year we saw the 10.0 emoji update arrive in October.

Previewed at the end of last year, Emoji 11.0 has now been finalized and includes 157 new emoji, bringing the total number of official emoji to 2,832. The update will also bring reversible emoji for the first time.

Among the newest additions are: superheroes and supervillains, redheads, infinity, hot face, cold face, partying face, woozy face, a host of new animals, toilet paper, skateboard, magnet, bagel, and much more.

Apple released four new Animoji characters with the first iOS 11.3 beta last month. That brings the total available Animoji to 16. Apple also had some fun with the feature recently as it created two short ads with Animoji singing Grammy nominated songs.
