Apple releases beta 3 for visionOS 2.2 and tvOS 18.2 [U]

Apple is rolling out the latest developer betas for visionOS 2.2 and tvOS 18.2. Beta 3 arrives not long after last week’s beta 2 releases, and brings the latest refinements to these upcoming software updates.

Update 11/18/24: Apple has now released the public beta for tvOS 18.2 too, just hours after the developer beta debuted. visionOS does not offer a public beta.

Today, Kwikset has announced the release of Halo Select, a new smart door lock designed with built-in Wi-Fi and Matter (and therefore includes HomeKit) support. This lock allows for easy smart home integration without needing a hub or getting locked in. You can control the lock via the Kwikset app, enabling remote access, locking/unlocking, and granting entry to guests through unique codes or in-app, with real-time notifications to track activity.
