Direct download links for iOS 7 & 7.0.1

iOS-7-091

Following Apple’s release of iOS 7 earlier today as an almost 1GB OTA update, direct download links have now made their way online. iOS 7.0 (build 11A465) is available now for your iPhone 4, 4S, 5, and iPad 2 and up, but Apple also has iOS 7.0.1 (build 11A470a) available for the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C as we noted earlier today. If you are having trouble with the over the air update, or just want to do a completely fresh install, you’ll be able to use the direct download links above to do so.

If you are going that route, you’ll want to make sure you are updated to the latest iTunes 11.1 released earlier today with iTunes Radio, Genius Shuffle, Podcast Stations, and, of course, support for iOS 7 devices.

  1. You might want to fix those links. The 7.0 link is only for one of the iPad models, and the 7.0.1 link is only for the 5s or 5c, but not both. I’d hate to see someone brick their iOS device with a wrong firmware (is it possible?)

    • Bar Pakuła  (@B4RP4) - 11 years ago

not possible, iTunes checks if the firmware fits and lets or doesn’t let you install it accordingly

“Apple also has iOS 7.0.1 (build 11A470a) available for the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C as we noted earlier today.” Specifically pointed out in the article, but I’m sure we can’t expect everyone to actually read.

reading helps but I doubt very much that the file is for both the 5s and the 5c… Each device has its own update file.

I believe what BeyondtheTech means is that the links provided above give no indication as to which device version of iOS7 you’re downloading. The last two links (marked 7.0 and 7.0.1) – which to me are presented generically – are for the iPad3 (wi-fi only model) and iPhone 5 (GSM) respectively.

you sure that 7.01 is compatable with iphone 5 ?

  6. The 7.0 link provided is only for the wifi iPad 3

  7. None of the links for iPhone work for me, I get a 404 not found. And what’s the difference between all the iphone 5 links (1-4)? What are the iphone SIX links??

I can’t seem to upgrade my iPhone on IOS 7. It keeps saying “Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes”

I’ve been trying for the last 30 mins. Any idea?

Could someone tell me what happen if I have the Golden Master Version?? Do i need to update, restore or what???
And what happens when for example iOS 7.0.1 comes out? I could update with any problem??

    PLEASE!

    • Golden Master is the final version, the same version that everyone is trying to download. Also you will be able to update fine when newer versions come out via OTA in the general settings.

    Hi guys,

I downloaded this file. It’s over 1GB and i’m on a limited bandwidth.

    http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7/091-9495.20130918.FuFu4/iPhone5,1_7.0_11A465_Restore.ipsw

My iPhone Version is 6.1.4. I have latest version of iTunes installed. When i SHIFT click the Update button on iTunes and select the downloaded file, iTunes says my iPhone could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible. Can you please guys tell me what i am doing wrong here. Please help.
