OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 build 14B23 seeded to developers

Apple today seeded the second beta of the upcoming OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 update to registered developers and participants in the AppleSeed program. The update is available for these users in the Software Update tab of the Mac App Store.

As with the first beta, Apple asks developers to focus their testing on WiFi-connectvitiy, Exchange accounts in the Mail app, and Notification Center. Apple has not indicated when OS X 10.10.1 will be released to the public, but the first point updates to OS X typically arrive within a month of the original version.

The sooner the better. Mail has been destroyed by Yosemite !

By today, I think you mean last Thursday. At least that’s when I got mine.

      This is the 2nd beta.

Yup, and I got it last Thursday :) Apparently I have it early for some reason.

Or not. I checked the App Store when I saw the post, but there was no update available, so I assumed it was the one I installed last week. You’re absolutely right. This is the 2nd 10.10.1 Beta. My bad :p

Guys, could you help me? I signed up for Yosemite betas (when I was over in Mavericks). And I was able to install Yosemite GM. Now, the betas still keep popping up. But I am not a developer (I signed up for that public release). And the AppStore updates to the betas automatically.

How do I turn this off?

    Thanks!

I think you go into system preferences > App Store and firstly untick the Install OS X Updates check box and then go to the part called “Your computer is set to receive pre-release software update seeds and press “change…” to deregister as part of the program! :)

  5. get back to mavricks if you can :)

I hope it does, that wifi bug is annoying.

  7. Nice to hear. Can someone affirm this update also fixes those graphic issues some users have:

Mail has been great for me. For myself and several others, Messages worked for one week and now is permanently “offline”.

I can get my office 365 Exchange mail to work, I can not, for the life of me, get iCal working with it. I keep getting “The Server responded with an error. The server is currently unreachable or the connection was blocked.”

This second Yosemite update (10.10.1 14B23) completely broke wifi for me. The icon just spins continuously. Tried it on 3 wifi different networks. Same result. It was fine before I did this second update.

Yosemite broke my WiFi and _NONE_ of the suggested solutions worked.

However, the 10.10.1 build 14B23 did it! All fine now! Happy again!

I just downloaded Yosemite and am finding a few glitches in managing my email. But they are not insurmountable.

My question is: When is Apple going to install Siri in the iMac?

I am not going to buy another iMac until they do that.
