With more than 3,000 apps for the Apple Watch already on the App Store for Apple’s new device, two major analytics platforms today announced support for Apple Watch apps through their respective SDKs.
Yahoo shared that its Mobile Developer Suite has added support for Apple Watch app analytics for developers at no cost through Flurry Analytics, the platform it acquired almost a year ago. By implementing Yahoo’s analytics system, developers of Apple Watch apps gain access to several metrics…
These metrics include data on new users, active users, total event occurrences, daily avery event occurrences, daily unique event users, and event users as percent of active app users, which Yahoo says will help developers see how use between the primary iPhone app and Apple Watch app balance.
Yahoo previously announced a number of its own Apple Watch apps including weather and news apps which are now available.
Another firm, Localytics, revealed its own Apple Watch SDK for that allows app makers to “analyze how their users are engaging with the Apple Watch, send timely and targeted messages to the Watch, and monitor the role of the Watch on cross channel behaviors.” Localytics Apple Watch app analytics platform is available to existing customers.
Also in the app analytics space, Apple last week began opening testers to its in-house App Analytics platform. Yesterday we shared the first look at screenshots of Apple’s platform in action.
