Fernando Silva started off his professional career in the enterprise technology space with his primary focus being moving large organizations from onsite legacy technologies to a more modern cloud infrastructure. All the technologies he dealt with were mostly in the Microsoft arena but he was always a lover of Apple at heart.

His love for Apple products started back in 2007 when Steve Jobs announced the first-ever iPhone. From then on, it was a love affair that to this day has only grown stronger. As the years progressed he consumed all sorts of media and content related to Apple and its products. First was the blogs like GSM Arena, CNET, and 9to5 and then he also fell in love with the tech Youtube community.

After picking up the new redesigned 2018 iPad Pro he absolutely loved the form factor and the power that came with it, and he realized that there wasn’t much iPad-related content on YouTube. In 2019 he started his YouTube channel that focused primarily on iPads and productivity. He was able to build his channel and community to 43,000 subscribers.

Sonos has recently made headlines for releasing their first over-ear headphone, the Sonos Ace. It brought the high-quality sound that Sonos customers are used to, but brought it into a portable and personal package. While they were not perfect, they are still up there as one of the best premium over-ear headphones on the market; check out our review here. Now, it seems Sonos is pivoting back to their bread and butter, the Sonos Arc. The Verge reported that the successor to the Arc, the Sonos Lasso, is right around the corner. Here is what we know.

iPadOS 18 adds one new feature to Freeform worth trying [Video]

Freeform was released alongside iPadOS 16 in October 2022. Apple created it as a more collaborative and project-focused notes app alternative. Even though it has stayed relatively the same since its debut, I personally think it’s one of Apple’s least talked about and most underrated app offerings in their ecosystem. iPadOS 18 brought some life into Freeform by adding one new feature that has helped with app navigation immensely: Freeform Scenes.

How credit card points scored me a new M2 iPad Air

Last month, I demonstrated the power of credit card points and how I turned a MacBook Pro purchased into a free iPhone in this post. To my surprise, most people enjoyed that post and got some big-time value out of it. That original post focused mainly on the Chase Ultimate Rewards ecosystem. This time, I want to give you an example of how you can parley Capital One Miles into a brand new M2 iPad Air or even an M2 Mac Mini!

Add utility to your iPhone with these unique and functional accessories

It seems as if every day, thousands more iPhone accessories hit the market from USB-C hubs to cases to MagSafe battery banks and more. When I look for new accessories, they have to be one of two things: have a unique aesthetic or be extremely functional, preferably multi-functional. Here are some of the iPhone accessories that I have used that fit these categories.

Clicks Keyboard case: Surprisingly great or gimmicky gadget? [Hands on review]

Earlier this year, Clicks announced their Clicks Keyboard case for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. They wanted to bring back the tactility of a physical keyboard to the modern smartphone. As someone who loved using Blackberry Pearl and Bold and the T-Mobile Sidekick back in the day, I was immediately intrigued. But I also had a lot of questions, like: Will the total package be too big? Will it drain my iPhone battery? Is it a true daily product or more of a nostalgic gimmick? To my surprise, the Clicks Case was actually awesome for many reasons. But also has room for improvement. Here is my Clicks Keyboard Case for iPhone review.

How to turn your iPad into a portable console display on iPadOS 18 [Video]

I always tell people that iPads, specifically iPad Pros, have the best displays for any tech device. Even dating back to the 2018 iPad Pro, that 120hz ProMotion display was second to none. As we have gotten new iPads, Apple has doubled down on the display by giving us MiniLED with the M1 iPad Pro, and now we have new OLED panels with the new M4 iPads. But aside from using features like Sidecar, you cannot natively use your iPad as a dummy display for other video sources. I am going to show you how.

Try these 7 iPad Pro apps to enhance your productivity

The beauty of the iPad and iPadOS is that you have access to the app store. Some say that the iPadOS software tends to bog the user experience down, especially in a productivity setting, but I disagree. Between the nearly 2 million apps you have access to and the raw power from the iPad Pro chipset, I believe the iPad can be a more productive alternative to a traditional desktop or laptop experience. Here are the seven apps I use on my M4 iPad Pro to stay productive.

Yesterday, Apple released a slew of beta updates for all of its hardware devices. Developers can now install the Beta 2 versions of Apple’s new platforms and see what new features and changes Apple has made. One new feature that was released with iOS 18, iPad 18, and MacOS 15 Beta 2 is their new SharePlay Remote Control. I have been able to demo it thoroughly, and I think its going to be used by many. Here is what you need to know!

Upgrade your M4 iPad Pro travel carry with these accessories

As someone who uses their iPad Pro as their main computer, I tend to bring it with me wherever I go. One of my favorite aspects about the iPad is that it is basically a modular device without actually saying it’s modular. Between the pin connectors, Thunderbolt port, the magnets, and its lightweight chassis, this makes it the perfect computer to pair with many accessories. So here are some of my favorite accessories I have been using with my new M4 iPad Pro, specifically centered around travel.

How buying a MacBook Pro got me an iPhone for free with credit card points

Over the last two years, I have become obsessed with the miles and points credit card game. I am always looking for the best way to get the most value out of all the signup bonuses and points I receive through spending with my credit card. I have recently been trying to find ways to leverage these points to, perhaps, get Apple products like an iPhone or iPad. I think I finally figured it out!

One of Sonos’ most anticipated products is finally available to order. Sonos has been teasing its new Sonos Ace headphones for the last month or so. We have had the pleasure of having hands-on time to really experience and review these headphones. In short, if you are in the market for a premium and prosumer-level headset, these will be my recommendation for most. Even more so if you are already in the Sonos ecosystem.

Review: Sonos Ace sets the new standard for prosumer headphones [Video]

Sonos announced its new Sonos Ace Headphones in early May and, after much anticipation, are finally set to release on June 5th. I have been lucky enough to live with them for the last 10 days. I have used them in every scenario possible to see if these headphones are truly the new ‘Best in class’ and if I could recommend them at the $449 price point. In short, these headphones are awesome but there are some things you need to know. Let’s get into my full review!

New M2 iPad Air or old iPad Pro, which is the better value? [Video]

As tech has matured over the years, every yearly update is more nuanced. The differences and upgrades are very incremental for most products today. So, the question of “Should you buy the budget version of something new or the old version of something premium?” is getting harder to answer. The current iPad lineup, specifically the new M2 iPad Air, is a great example of this. Should you buy a brand new M2 iPad Air or find a used M1/M2 iPad Pro? Let’s see if we can answer this.

Hands-on: Finally, a magnetic stand that also wirelessly charges your M4 iPad Pro

Kuxiu has just debuted its brand-new X33 Pro MAX Magnetic Charging Stand—yes, it’s a mouthful. I have been waiting for a product like this to be released since I picked up the 2018 iPad Pro six years ago. Other companies have attempted similar products over the years, but there was always a sacrifice that had to be made in order to charge your iPad wirelessly. Most previous solutions required an iPad case that would block the main USB-C port, making it unusable while charging. Kuxiu is giving us the first-ever frictionless magnetic iPad charging stand, which lives up to the hype.

Enhance your AirPods with these essential accessories [Video]

Aside from the iPhone, the AirPods Pro might be my most used product in the world of Apple products. I use them to work out, for work calls, to walk my dog, to get chores around the house done, and so much more. They work even better with the more Apple products you have because of the magic of auto-switching and continuity. However, as straightforward as AirPods might seem, there are numerous accessories available that can significantly enhance your user experience. Whether it’s protection, improved functionality, or simply keeping them clean, these accessories can make a world of difference.

These accessories will let you maximize your Delta Emulator experience

Since Delta debuted on the App Store about two weeks ago; I have logged far too many hours playing my childhood games (more than I care to share). The more I used the emulator the more I learned about its capabilities. Did you know you could Airplay Delta to an Apple TV and use your iPhone as a controller? Or that you could connect up to four controllers at once to play games with friends? So many quality of life features that I have been taking advantage of. These features are best used with some corresponding accessories. I wanted to list some of my favorites that I have been using to really get the most out of Delta!

Kuxiu launches new Limited Edition-Wood Grain lineup of 3 in 1 chargers

I have been using Kuxiu chargers for years now, primarily for travel. Their X55 series of chargers still has the best price-to-performance ratio of any charger on the market. For less than $40, you get a charger that chargers your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple watch; it comes with a 20W charging brick and a carrying case. It’s a foldable travel charger that works; sometimes that’s what is needed. But some sacrifices need to be made to get to that price point, so Kuxiu has just released two new premium products that give you better performance and higher quality finishes and still don’t break the bank.

Hands-on: The best iOS features to upgrade your travel experience [Video]

I was recently lucky enough to go on a great vacation where we spent eight days traveling across Europe. One of the things I noticed was just how helpful my iPhone was throughout this experience. Yes, we all know that we can use maps to help us navigate new cities and geographies. But did you know that you could convert currencies directly in the Notes or iMessage apps? Or that you could create a shared library so everyone on the trip can see all the pictures you took. I found over 25 iOS features that are specifically built into iOS to enhance and make your travels easier.

iOS features that get progressively more useful [Video]

The iPhone and iOS have continuously evolved over the last 17 years. When the original iPhone was released, the feature sets and tools included in PhoneOS 1 were very limited. Apple wanted users to focus on basic interactions such as using the new touchscreen and making phone calls. However, with iOS 17, the software has grown exponentially and has become your go-to tool for almost any task. In this post, I will highlight 12 progressively useful features built into iOS. Share your favorite iOS feature in the comments—one that others might not know about—so we can all learn!
