The iPhone X Plus got its name from the 2017 iPhone X, which was a major departure from previous iPhones. Featuring an all-screen OLED display, Face ID, and wireless charging, all in a package only slightly bigger than the 4.7-inch-sized iPhones.
In 2018, Apple plans on applying the same with the larger iPhone Plus models, with a phone only slightly larger than the Plus, but with a screen that covers the entire front of the device.
