JumpCloud launches venture arm to fund the next generation of IT and security startups

JumpCloud is expanding its footprint in the enterprise security landscape, but this time, it’s not with a new software feature. The company today announced the launch of JumpCloud Ventures, a new investment arm designed to support early-stage companies building solutions in identity, security, AI, and IT productivity. Along with the launch of the fund, JumpCloud has announced its first strategic investment in Tofu, a startup focused on combating identity fraud during the hiring process.

JumpCloud announces $100 million in Series E funding for continued cloud directory and Apple MDM expansion

JumpCloud, the popular cloud directory service for Mac and PC organizations, has announced that it an addition to an oversubscribed Series E round of funding to continue expanding its operations. The round was led by Blackrock, but its existing investor General Atlantic also participated in the round. Joining the round today is two new investors are H.I.G. and OurCrowd. As part of its move to support growing demand, JumpCloud also announced the addition of Kevin Biggs as Chief Revenue Officer to the executive leadership team. The total Series E round is now at $100 million.

JumpCloud expands Apple enterprise offering by adding MDM solution

JumpCloud, the makers of the popular cloud directory service, is expanding its product portfolio to offer a new mobile device management solution for Apple enterprises. JumpCloud has been a popular ‘directory-as-a-service’ vendor for Apple enterprises looking to move away from Microsoft’s Active Directory. The JumpCloud MDM solution will work directly with Apple’s MDM APIs.
