Traveling can be an exciting and enjoyable experience, but planning a trip can often be stressful, time-consuming, and ultimately have a poor outcome. Fortunately, with the help of iOS and the millions of apps in the iOS App Store, planning travel has become much easier. There are a plethora of travel apps available for iOS that can help you plan your trip, book your flights, and find the best deals. I am personally in the process of booking a trip in the fall with multiple flights, hotels, and countries. The three apps I will be mentioning have made planning this trip much, much easier.

Developers can now submit apps supporting iOS 16.1, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island to the App Store

iOS 16.1 will be available to the public next week, and the update comes with multiple new features and tweaks across the system, including the Live Activities API that works with Dynamic Island. Ahead of the official release, Apple is now letting developers submit apps supporting the latest software to the App Store.

With the release of iOS 16.1 beta 3 last week, owners of the first-generation AirPods Pro and AirPods Max noticed that the update enabled the “Adaptive Transparency” option for these earphones. While it was unclear whether the feature was actually coming to older AirPods or not, Apple has now removed the option with iOS 16.1 beta 4, confirming that it was just a bug.

Live Activities API returns with iOS 16.1 beta 1, here’s how it works

One of the coolest features Apple will introduce with the iOS 16 cycle is the Live Activities function on the new Lock Screen. After the company claimed it wouldn’t be available with version 16.0, Apple seeded iOS 16.1 beta 1 with the Live Activities API, which means developers can try it out and see how they can implement the function on their apps.
