As someone who produces written and video tutorials for the Mac, taking screenshots is a natural part of my day-to-day workload. I’ve long relied on keyboard shortcuts for taking screenshots in previous versions of macOS, but macOS Mojave screenshots offer new utility with a graphical user interface. With the 2018 MacBook Pro gaining Hey Siri support, we had a pretty good feeling about the prospect of Hey Siri coming to the iMac Pro as well, seeing as they both utilize Apple’s T2 custom silicon. Now that macOS Mojave has launched, Apple has confirmed Hey Siri support, and we’ve been able to test it out.

UPDATE: macOS 10.14.1 beta 1 is now available to public beta testers.
Just one day after releasing macOS Mojave to the public, Apple has today seeded its first macOS 10.14.1 beta to developers.
Apple doesn’t mention specifically what is included in this beta, but we’ll update this post with new information as we dig through the beta.
Following the release of macOS 10.14 Mojave this afternoon, Apple has published a pair of support documents with details for specific machines. These documents relate to installing Mojave on older Mac Pro machines, as well as Boot Camp support on select iMacs.
On the launch day of macOS 10.14 Mojave, a new flaw has been shared that has to do with bypassing the new operating system’s privacy protections. This leaves supposedly private data like a user’s contacts vulnerable.
After last week’s successful launch of iOS 12, it’s now the Mac’s turn to receive its yearly software update in the form of macOS Mojave. Version 10.14 of macOS includes loads of new features to help make your life on the desktop easier.
New features include things like the long-awaited Dark Mode, great for working in dimly lit environments, Stacks, a feature that lets you quickly tidy up your desktop. Mojave also includes a refined screenshot interface, and apps that were previously exclusive to iOS like Home, Voice Memos, Stocks and Apple News.

Dark Mode in macOS Mojave is really awesome, but it shines in some apps better than others. Dark Mode is excellent in iTunes and Photos where colors pop off the screen, but it can make reading more difficult in text-focused apps.
